How to remove your nail wraps with soy-based polish removers - and why you should switch

"How do I remove my nail wraps?" is a question I go asked often from folks who are new to nail wraps.  There are a number of ways to remove them... some more safe and kind for your nails than others.  For case, you technically tin skin off your nail wraps, only this can damage your nails, and so it's not a method I recommend!

Because Ivy & Ash nail wraps are made from the same (non-toxic!) ingredients as traditional nail polish, you can remove them in the same mode you would whatever other nail polish, with a smash polish remover.  Nail wraps are not as stubborn to remove as gel or dip manicures, and then the removal process is easier and quicker.

Acetone nail shine removers are very powerful and will become the job done quickly and effectively, just the harsh chemicals are not keen for your nails and pare.  Using an acetone smooth remover can dehydrate your nails, cuticles, and skin and removes natural oils.  This can cause your nails to become dry and brittle and your peel to go irritated.

While acetone-based nail polish removers are the most efficient at removing nail polish and nail wraps, some people opt for a non-acetone remover instead.  Not-acetone nail polish removers are made with solvents that are more gentle on your pare and nails than acetone.  The near common solvents used in non-acetone nail polish removers are ethyl acetate, isopropyl alcohol and propylene carbonate.

A third, and relatively new, selection is soy-based nail polish removers.  I recently fabricated the switch to soy-based removers in an endeavor to be kinder to my nail beds, and I've been pleasantly surprised!  As I mentioned before, Ivy & Ash nail wraps are non-toxic and 10-complimentary (free of harmful ingredients such as toluene, formaldehyde, DPB, camphor, parabens, and TPHP), so it would make sense to use a non-toxic nail polish remover to accept them off.

Soy-based blast polish removers are gentle on your nails and won't dry them out.  In fact, many are infused with vitamins to attend your skin and nails.  Some other key departure is the smell cistron.  Acetone blast shine removers have a harsh odor with vapors that are easy to inhale, only soy-based removers don't.  Soy-based blast polish removers have a low-odor profile and often include essential oils so they odour of lavander, citrus, or rose.  How dainty!

The chief (and in my opinion, simply) disadvantage of soy-based nail polish removers is they take a picayune more fourth dimension and effort to fully remove smoothen from your nails.  You beginning apply the remover to your nails and so let it sit for a couple minutes to suspension down the polish, and there is a little more "scrubbing" involved to remove the smooth.  But if you aren't in a hurry, and y'all want your nails to feel nice and moisturized later on (and you don't want a headache from strong fumes!), so information technology's worth the extra time and attempt.
